 About me

I am Matteo Sarzi Amadè.

I was born in 1976, and I picked up a camera for the first time at twenty. Thirty years later, I'm still looking through the viewfinder — and I have no intention of stopping.

I am a wildlife photographer. Not by profession, but by nature. The wild world has always been my true habitat: the silence of the savannah at dawn, the tension of a predator on the hunt, the moment just before everything happens.

Africa is my second home. I have traveled there more than twenty times, exploring its landscapes, its light, and its animals with the patience and obsession that this continent demands. I have visited 58 countries across five continents, always with a camera and always looking for that one frame that says everything without a word.

My greatest obsession? Leopards. Solitary, elusive, perfect. Photographing a leopard is never guaranteed — and that is exactly why I keep going back.

For years I worked as a trip coordinator for Avventure nel Mondo, one of Italy's most respected adventure travel organizations. I know what it means to travel with a group, to read a territory, to be in the right place at the right moment — and to help others see what they would otherwise miss.

Today I combine all of this: professional equipment, decades of field experience, and a genuine love for sharing the wild world with those who want to discover it.

If you want to explore Africa through a lens — or simply see it differently — you're in the right place.
